At Spotted (AAR Tech Ventures Private Limited) ("Spotted", "we", "our", or "us"), we aim to provide a seamless and rewarding experience.
This Cancellation & Refunds Policy outlines the terms under which users and merchants may seek refunds, cancellations, and transaction reversals on the Spotted platform.
1. Payment Finality
All UPI transactions completed via the Spotted platform are instant, final, and irrevocable once confirmed by the UPI network.
Spotted does not have the ability to cancel or reverse payments initiated and completed by the user through their chosen UPI app.
2. User-Initiated Refunds
Refunds can be requested under the following conditions:
Duplicate payment to the same merchant.
Incorrect amount paid (where merchant has acknowledged the overpayment).
Service or order not fulfilled by the merchant.
To initiate a refund:
Contact the merchant directly using contact details shown on your transaction receipt. If unresolved, escalate the issue via the Spotted app support section with proof of transaction. Spotted may intervene only to facilitate merchant communication and does not process or authorize UPI refunds directly.
3. Cashback Reversals
Cashback granted by Spotted may be revoked or reversed under the following scenarios:
If the UPI transaction is subsequently refunded or reversed. If the user deletes or edits the associated Spotted Post.
If fraudulent activity or manipulation is detected.
Users consent to automatic reversal of cashback under these conditions without prior approval.
4. Merchant Cancellations & Disputes
Merchants are required to process refunds in accordance with applicable laws and industry best practices.
Refunds must be:
Processed within 5 business days of an approved request.
Reflected back to the source UPI account or original mode of payment.
Merchants failing to process valid refunds may be subject to deactivation and platform-level penalties.
5. Failed or Delayed Transactions
If your UPI payment fails but your bank account is debited, the amount is typically auto-reversed by your bank within T+1 to T+3 business days.
Spotted does not hold these funds and cannot expedite reversal. Please contact your issuing bank or UPI app support.
6. Refund Method and Timeline
Valid refunds will be processed directly to the original payment method (e.g., UPI VPA). Timelines depend on the underlying banking partners which is 7-15 days as per the provider. Spotted is not responsible for delays caused by external financial institutions which are governed by the RBI.
